※Due to the influence of COVID-19, speakers who cannot join will be Online presentation.
According to recent policy, participant have to stay for two weeks in hotel near to Haneda or Narita airport. After that, you can continue to come to Hokkaido and Muroran.
BACKGROUND AND SCOPE
The 12th International Symposium on the Science and Processing of Cast Iron follows the distinguished tradition of researchers, producers and users of cast iron together and discuss the advances in the science and processing of cast iron.
TOPICS
- Fundamental research on metallurgy, solidification and solid state transformations of cast iron.
- Thermo-physical and thermos-mechanical properties of cast iron.
- Modelling and simulation of phenomena’s related to processing of cast iron.
- Recent technologies of melting, casting, heat treatment and process control.
- Novel developments and applications of cast iron.

The symposium will be held in Muroran city in Hokkaido, Japan. The symposium venue is the Muroran City Lifelong Learning Center "Kiran". The word “Muroran” is derived from the Ainu word “Mo - Luerani” and means “small, downstream”.
